Last updated: 27 October 2026

This notice explains how we use personal information when you visit siatrainingglasgow.org.uk, contact SIA Training Glasgow or send an enquiry through this website.

Who is responsible for your information?

SIA Training Glasgow is a Skills Training Group brand. The data controller is Training Developments Scotland Limited, registered in Scotland under company number SC397255, trading as Skills Training Group.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@skillstg.co.uk, call 0141 363 0390, or write to Skills Training Group, Units 1–3, 5 Murray Street, Paisley, PA3 1QG. Please say that your request concerns SIA Training Glasgow.

Information we collect

  • Enquiries: your name, email address, optional telephone number, the message you send and any information you choose to include in subsequent correspondence.
  • Enquiry records: the website page and form used, a submission reference and the time of the request, so we can deliver and respond to your enquiry.
  • Technical and security information: connection and device details such as your IP address, browser information and security-check results, processed when the website is delivered and protected against spam or misuse.

Please only include information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive medical information through the general enquiry form. If we need additional information for a booking or to discuss support, our team will explain how to provide it.

We need your name and email address to respond through the online form. The telephone number and message fields are optional. You can also contact us by phone or email instead.

How we use information and our lawful basis

  • Course enquiries and requested booking steps: to answer questions and take steps at your request before entering into a training contract. Where you contact us on behalf of an employer or another person, we use our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and arranging the requested training.
  • Other correspondence: our legitimate interest in responding to requests, resolving problems and keeping a record of the response.
  • Website operation and security: our legitimate interest in delivering a working website, monitoring its performance, preventing spam and fraud, and protecting enquiries and our services.
  • Legal requirements: to meet an obligation that applies to us, such as responding to a valid request from a regulator.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

Who receives information?

Relevant Skills Training Group staff receive enquiries so they can respond. We use Cloudflare to host and protect the website, check form submissions with Turnstile and route enquiry emails to our team at info@skillstg.co.uk. Our email and IT service providers process information needed to deliver, store and support that correspondence. We may also disclose information where a legal obligation requires it or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical signals to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. A failed security check may prevent an online submission; you can still phone or email us. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy information and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Reviews, maps and external websites

Some pages load a Trustpilot review widget or an embedded Google Map directly from those providers. Loading this content sends connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the provider. Their own notices explain their processing and any cookies or similar technologies: Trustpilot privacy policy and Google privacy policy. See our cookie policy for more information.

Cloudflare also runs a performance-measurement script on this website. It sends page-load timings and related browser and page information to Cloudflare so we can monitor how the site performs. See Cloudflare’s performance-beacon documentation for details.

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google advertising tags are not installed on this website. The embedded map is a separate Google service.

Course booking links take you to the booking service. The information needed for registration, payment and course administration is explained by the notices provided during that process and our customer and student privacy notice. This website’s enquiry form does not take payments.

International processing

Some of our service providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their published privacy notices describe the locations and transfer protections used for their services. For example, Cloudflare describes its international transfer arrangements in its privacy policy. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, resolve a complaint or meet applicable legal requirements. We consider the purpose of the record, whether the enquiry remains active, whether it leads to a booking, and whether a legal claim or obligation requires it to be kept. We do not apply one fixed retention period to every type of information. Booking and learner records are covered by the customer and student privacy notice.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy of information you have provided. Some rights depend on the lawful basis and may be limited by a legal requirement to retain information.

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Tell us about your circumstances using the contact details above, and we will consider your request.

If we ask for consent for a particular use of information, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully. Using this website is not blanket consent to other uses of your information.

You can raise a concern with us and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO’s complaints page or read the ICO’s guidance on your rights.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the website or our handling of information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
